How to bypass Youtube ads in desktop or in mobile browsers?

There is way to bypass youtube ads by adding a dot after the domain in browser address bar.

For example, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuB8VUICGqc :> will show ads 

but https://www.youtube.com./watch?v=DuB8VUICGqc :> will not show ads

This will work for many news websites and those behind serving paywalls, e.g. 

https://www.nytimes.com./2020/06/09/us/george-floyd-who-is.html
